LN-SAF Description
The LogicNets Starter App framework enables the creation of user dashboards or portal environments from which other applications written in LogicNets can be invoked and managed in the current user context. The Starter App is typically used both as a user portal presenting all LogicNets functions that a user could launch and as a central facility for managing the data generated by those launched functions. It is included at no extra charge with each of the Use Case Framework applications and is often used as the starting point from which users can see the applications available for them to run and select them to start, resume, or review sessions. These applications can be projects written in a LogicNets Use Case Framework or they can be standalone LogicNets projects using only the base system functionality.
The Starter App is integrated with the User Management module and is able to evaluate user attributes to invoke LogicNets applications in consideration of the user’s roles and privileges. It can also acquire user attributes or other data from integrated external systems to invoke a LogicNets application, passing this data to the application to create a session context. Furthermore, the Starter App can work with the session management capabilities of the LogicNets system to allow users to initiate new sessions or resume previously created sessions.
Services and Deployment Considerations
LogicNets recommends Starter App delivery in conjunction with additional Pro Services (LN-DS, LN-TS) including:
• Designer training
• Application-level user and role management setup
• Basic customer-specific UI styling and layout
• Setup of web services for external applications integration
These services usually require development and acceptance by customer of a formal SoW)
