LN-WSF Description
The Web Services Framework allows designer users to easily create a web services API, allowing external systems to connect, authenticate, and pass any applicable data parameters for processing to connected LogicNets packages. The WSF allows LogicNets applications to present web services functionality ranging from a basic interface to robust custom APIs that the organization can design and deploy to meet unique requirements. APIs created with the WSF can follow common industry standards or be entirely customized.
The framework takes care of I/O handling and provides out-of-the-box support and automatic conversion of JSON and XML. Data handling can be enhanced by custom conversions modeled in LogicNets. It allows multiple end-points to be implemented within the same webservice application. It also includes a built-in test mode for testing from within the LogicNets visual Designer.
The WSF is distinct from the Web Services functionality of the Base System (B) which enables outbound web services calls to external system APIs.
Services and Deployment Considerations
The Web Services Framework assumes Designer users who are familiar with common principles of web services connectivity.
LogicNets offers training services (LN-TS) to assist designer users in creating and deploying their LogicNets APIs.
LogicNets offers Design and Deployment services (LN-DS) to fully integrate external applications using the Web Services Framework (as well as the Web Services Connector) with seamless connection, authentication, and data interchange.
