LogicNets' AUC portal contains functionality for clinicians and imaging providers as well as for their associated billing administrators and for integrators.
- The portal provides comprehensive process that guides the clinician or ordering professional through the steps of validating their advanced imaging order against the AUC. After completing the process, the system generates a unique consultation identifier (UCI) as proof that the validation was performed, and the clinician or ordering professional provides this UCI when placing the imaging order with a furnishing provider or imaging center to ensure reimbursement.
The portal also gives a clear and meaningful diagnostic view of the AUC process, rather than a payment-oriented set of look-up tables. The unique, graphical approach shows the most appropriate ordering option and identifies the best alternatives.
- For imaging providers or furnishing professionals, the LogicNets AUC Solution Portal not only helps ensure CMS reimbursement, but it gives a consistently clear understanding of why patients have been prescribed the ordered service. The system displays on-screen a summary of the patient scenario information submitted during the AUC consultation, giving you the ability to review the factors that resulted in the AUC guidance.
- Integrators are organizations that want to call the CDSM Web Service directly from their own client application rather than using the AUC and workflow functionality of the portal itself.
