Visual Navigation Framework: Connectors and Labels

  • updated 3 yrs ago

The Elbow Connector (or Elbow Node) is a part used in the Visual Guideline Framework to create an orthogonal edge--a 90-degree angle.

Add a Connector

To add an elbow connector to a project with the Visual Guideline Framework, do the following:

1. Double-click anywhere on the edge of the line connecting two nodes. The system will display a small, red open circle on the connector line.
2. Select the elbow connector (open circle).
3. Move the elbow using the keyboard or mouse.

  • Keyboard: Use the arrow keys to move the elbow with small steps or hold the SHIFT-key while using the arrow-keys to move the elbow with larger steps
  • Mouse: Click on the elbow and keep the left-mouse-button down; move the mouse until the elbow is positioned at the desired location. The location of the elbow will be snapped to the grid. The elbow can be moved in small steps when the ALT-key is pressed while dragging

Move a Label

Some elbow connectors has output-selector-labels. The output-selector-label can be moved by selecting the label first (click on label) and use the keyboard cursor keys or the mouse using click and drag method.
