LogicNets Chart Authoring Module (LN-CHA)
License Basis: Per LogicNets Designer instance in which graphical reports are configured
Notes:
- Designer users on that instance can integrate charting into the applications
- While Chart Authoring Module (CHA) licenses are not needed for rendering LogicNets-provided charts on run-time systems, a CHA license IS required at run-time for Customer-authored charts.
LN-CHA Description
The LogicNets Chart Authoring Module enables powerful graphical report generation by integrating the HighCharts Charting software into the Designer environment. HighCharts is re-sold by LogicNets under license from HighSoft.
The Charting Module allows users to identify data sets managed within LogicNets applications (or data accessible via web services in external databases) and render them in a wide range of graphical charting formats using the HighCharts software. The Module allows the designer user to create charts and then save and organize them for repeated use in multi-chart dashboard displays. In runtime applications both the individual charts and dashboards created by your designer users can be displayed within the application or distributed as links to your application users via email or messages generated by the application.
Services and Deployment Considerations
The Chart Authoring Module option is activated and deployed within the Designer as part of standard delivery.
LogicNets offers Training Services (LN-TS) to assist designer users in learning how to prepare data sets for access by the Charting Module and how to configure the Charts using the HighSoft scripting options. Note that HighSoft posts a robust set of training tools on their website that can be used in the LogicNets environment.
