Copy-Paste Functionality with Informatics

Description

With LogicNets v8.1+ it is possible to copy and paste informatic coding for questions and options from and to the LogicNets generic table, which is used in the LogicNets Designer. This functionality makes it easier for you to work in Excel and easily copy informatics into LogicNets.

Node Type:  This functionality is available in the informatics tab in the following Radio list, Checklist, and Dropdown parts. It is also available in the informatics pop-up in data tables.

Designer Functionality

To copy or paste question coding, select the question header and press ctrl + c or ctrl + v on your keyboard.

To copy or paste option coding for a specific option, select the option header and press ctrl + c or ctrl + v on your keyboard.

To copy all option coding from LogicNets to Excel, select the options header. You cannot paste coding options here, but you can copy all option coding from LogicNets and paste it in Excel.

To copy or paste question coding in the informatics editor in the data tables, select the question header and press ctrl + c or ctrl + v on your keyboard.

To copy or paste the answer coding in the informatics editor in the data tables, select the answer header and press ctrl + c or ctrl + v on your computer.

Excel Functionality

To copy informatics data from Excel into LogicNets, you need to use the following format: system | code | display + system | code | display. The ‘+’ indicates the next coding row. 

When you copy from Excel and paste into LogicNets by either selecting a question or option header, the system puts the data in like this example:

For option informatics, it is important to select the question coding. It is not possible to copy this directly from Excel.
