Start a Project
It Starts with a Project
To create an application in LogicNets you begin by creating a project. All applications live in project folder: a project is where you store all of the parts that go together to make your application, including logicnets, images, documents, and data.
Projects Pane
In the Designer, the Projects pane is located on the left side of the screen and it is your starting place for building and managing your applications. This virtual file system houses all of your applications and their associated logicnets and resources. To expand an item in the Projects pane click the + icon next to that item in the folder tree. To contract, or hide an item, click the – icon next to that item. You can use your mouse or your keyboard arrow keys to navigate through the folder structure in the Projects pane.
New Project
Click on the projects folder at the top of the Projects pane and then click on the New Project icon.
Select a Template or Project Type
Select a template or project type from the list. For more information about what each one offers, click on the name of the template and additional information appears on the right side of the screen.
Project Name
Once you have determined which template you want to use enter the name of your project and click Create.
Project Details
The system creates your project and takes you to the Details tab of your project. This is where you can see high-level information about your project. It is also where you have the buttons to such actions as test, modify, and publish.
Modify Project
To update the name of your project or change details about the project click on the project in the Projects pane. The project will open on the right side of the screen. Click Modify and make your changes.
When you click Modify on the project Details screen the system takes you to the project-level changes options. These include the description of the project, the framework upon which the project is created, and the layout associated with the project. It also gives you access to the Framework tab, which is where you can enter framework settings (described in the folder about that framework type). Once you have made changes click save to return to the project Details tab..
Project Folders
Once you are satisfied with your project setup you can click on the swivel arrow next to the project name in the Project pane to open your project. Click on the logicnets or resources subfolders to continue creating your application.
