Description

The System Configuration package contains multiple configuration options, which are organized into different tabs that display at the top of the screen. This article contains information about options/configurations located on the Database tab. System Configuration LogicNets supports integration with MS SQL server, Oracle, and MySQL database systems.

Configuration Settings

From the Database tab you can set a profile that defines the high-level settings to control the interaction between the LogicNets platform and your selected database system. For more detailed information, see Database Profiles: Oracle, MS SQL, and MySQL.

External Databases This table is where you enter aliases, database names, and ODBC strings.    
Auto increment This tells LogicNets whether or not the database creates an ID for the newly inserted record. Default: 0 Default: 1 Default: 1
Use LN generated sequences This tells Logicnets whether or not to use its own sequence objects when adding a new record. Default: 1 Default: 1 Default: 1
Max. character size This is the maximum size for a character field LogicNets can pass to the database. Default: 4000 Default: 4000 Default: 4000
