Framework Project Tags

Description

At the project level, it is possible to attach tags that can be used to retrieve a specific project from a list.

Use

While tags can be put to use in a variety of ways, they offer an additional level of categorization of published projects alongside the project Category. Tags can be used for versioning or for presenting a subset of available applications to the user.

Creating Tags

Click on the Tags tab to add tags to the project.

Using Tags Elsewhere in your Application Architecture

Tags can be used, typically, in a Starter Application using the Packages and Tags Lookup part. On publishing the project, the system saves the tags to the admin tables and you can use them in package search/launch processes as appropriate.

Note also that additional tags can be added and removed via the Package Installer, but tags created on the project itself remain with the project.
